TRANSFORM - DEAD SEA is a two-channel video projected on two intersecting screens. The screens form an X shape and can be viewed such that either a single channel is seen or that one half of each channel is seen, forming a different video.
The footage consists of a slow pan over the mountains on either side of the Dead Sea. These two mountain ranges were once one, prior to the formation of the Dead Sea Transform or rift. The ensuing millenia saw the African and Arabian plates drift apart approximately 120 kilometers, displaced laterally. The video visually reconnects the two, reversing geological time and forming a new landscape.
Dimensions variable, 12 minutes.
