NUMINOSUM is an ongoing project that engages different publics with AI image generators and large-langauge models to produce a library of nightmares. Turning to these powerful tools, NUMINOSUM takes the data-sets as a contemporary manifestation of the Jungian collective unconsious and the AI interface as an oracle-cum-psycoanalyst.
Audience members are invited to relate a nightmare to an image generator and to edit it to best represent their dream. Images are uploaded for an AI dream analysis. The resulting materials are compiled into a poster and printed for audiences to take home.
