Rotem Linial is an artist and educator currently based in Oxford, UK.
Linial works across media engaging with individuals and groups to explore emotive and political stakes of non-linear storytelling; the poetics and psychology of perception; and the history of reproducibility.
Linial’s work, even at its most abstract, often begins with a documentary impulse and uses oral history, archival research and other documentary practices as the basis for sculptural, video, and print projects.
Linial is a the founder and director of Cinema Balash—a micro-cinema and screening series focused on video-art and experiemental screening practices—and the co-founder of 100 Rochester Studios.
